The single-manual mechanical drawer instrument was built by Amand Hanisch from Rychnov nad Kněžnou in 1860. According to the municipal chronicle, the collection for the organ was organized in 1857 and the budget was 300 gold coins.
The organ has an unusual manual range and an interesting inverted key covering, which has not been preserved on any of Hanisch’s instruments. From the original parts, both airboxes, benches, pedal box and partly the tract and several wooden pipes are still preserved. Unfortunately, all the metal pipes were stolen and only a few unusable pieces of the wooden pipes survived. Most of the parts were gradually soiled by bird droppings and disintegrated by moisture.
Nevertheless, it was possible to reconstruct the instrument, which, thanks to the initiative of the members of the local Smidarska Ornamental Association and the subsequent subsidy from the Regional Authority, began in 2008.
The restoration of the organ was completed in 2011 by the now deceased organ builder Pavel Doubek for CZK 620,000. The metal pipes were made by Jan Kubát from Kaňek and the wooden pipes were supplied by Ivan Červenka from Jakubovice. The instrument is now placed in the nave of the church, where it is used, among other things, for wedding ceremonies and classical music concerts.
