Church of St. Peter and Paul

The inventory shows that in 1766 a new organ was built – a two-piece organ with 16 registers and 3 bellows. The builder is still unknown, but the morphology of the organ case suggests that it was built by the royal workshop of Welzel. The instrument has undergone many unfortunate interventions in the past (1854 and 1863 by J. F. Fischer from Silesia, 1914 rebuilding by Paul Noske, 1948 by J. Melzer, 1979 by J. Hubený). The old drawer airlock is preserved only in the positive, the others have been replaced by conical ones. In 1994, the German organ builder Gerhard Schmidt began to reconstruct the instrument, but due to the organ builder’s old age, the work ended only with the repair of the positive. In 2014 – 2017, the organ builder Ivan Červenka from Jakubovice followed the project of G. Schmidt. He added new drawer air pipes to the main machine and pedal, refurbished the playing table and modified the layout. The cost amounted to 1 350 000 CZK.
